Development of transpacific photo transmission test by sub-carrier system

After successful preliminary test in September, 1950, of radio-photo-transmission between a station using SCFM in Japan and an RCA station in San Francisco, commercial transmission has been carried out with good results. The paper deals with the transmitting and receiving equipments and transmission system employed. The investigation revealed the optimum propagation conditions.
