Dielectric relaxation in polymers.

This article is written for inclusion in the Encyclopedia of Science and Engineering to be published by John Wiley & Sons. Theory of dielectrics is reviewed and compared with the actual dielectric relaxation phenomena observed in polymers which exhibit distribution of relaxation times as well as multiple transitions. Measurement techniques are briefly reviewed.
