Differential Unitary Space-Time Modulation

We present a differential space-time modulation scheme suitable for communication across a continuously fading channel with multiple antennas. Our scheme achieves full transmitter antenna diversity and requires neither the transmitter nor the receiver to know the fading channel response. Our scheme is simple to implement and provides a natural extension of standard differential phase shift keying (DPSK) commonly used in single-antenna unknown-channel systems.
