Digital Injection Locking for Advanced Coherent Receiver Applications

A novel technique is introduced that emulates optical injection locking in a software enabled coherent receiver (Co-Rx), by optically injecting an optical reference into the Co-Rx signal port. Modified Co-Rx digital signal processing (DSP) routines make system behave as if the local oscillator was optically phase locked to the injected reference.
