Dispersive hopping conduction in quasi-one-dimensional systems.

The hopping conduction problem is solved exactly for regular ladders with quinary jump rates. The ac conductivity is shown to have a dispersive nature even when the ladder consists of certain regular arrangements of quinary jump rates. Hopping conduction in the zagzag chain with binary jump rates is also studied rigorously. In particular, a field induced dispersive transport is predicted.
