Dissemination of network status information for NETS adaptive routing.

Adaptive routing processes for the Nationwide Emergency Telecommunications System (NETS) have been studied at the request of the Government Network Planning Department. This memorandum presents a protocol for controlling the dissemination of network status information in a NETS message dissemination network. This data network is distinct from the NETS voice network. The dissemination problem involves all-to-all broadcast, where each node (CCM) periodically broadcasts a message to all other nodes.
