This letter describes the use of printing and molding techniques to fabricate distributed feedback resonators on ridge waveguides. The performance of plastic photopumped lasers formed with these resonators provides an important measure of the quality of the printed and molded structures. The results indicate potential optoelectronic applications of a set of emerging low cost lithographic techniques that can pattern a range of materials with sub-micron resolution on nonplanar substrates.
