Diversity in call routing.
15 May 1984
We outline a method for call routing with improved reliability and call completions. This is achieved by providing for node- disjoint paths to final destinations. To maintain simplicity, calls originating or passing through a node are treated equally and the continuation of the call path depends only on the call's final destination and not on its already transversed links. The method also assures that calls do not cycle in the network.
