Dynamic Measurements of Magnetically-Strain Tuned FBG for Fast Reconfigurable Add/Drop

We demonstrate a fast magnetically tunable FBG with adjacent channel wavelength switching time of ~2 ms. The center wavelength is shifted over a 4 nm range and the magnetic strain introduces no discernable amplitude or phase distortion.
