We report dynamic measurements of the shear modulus micron of a two-dimensional bond percolation lattice model. The measurements were made by exciting torsional oscillations of cylindrical screens (3-5x10 sup 3 bonds) as bonds were progressively cut to approach the percolation threshold.

To explore the effects of finite size, critical variables, such as the correlation length and the susceptibility were calculated from cluster statistics, revealing a scaling regime for micron bounded by a mean-field region and by finite size corrections. Our results confirm the theoretical prediction of a new universality class for elasticity percolation, with the critical shear modulus exponent tau = 3.6+-0.2 significantly larger than t, the conductivity exponent.
