Dynamics in Polyatomic Fluids: A Kinetic Theory Approach

New Image

The kinetic theory of transport properties of dilute atomic fluids has a solid foundation, dating back to the classic works of Maxwell and Boltzmann(1-3) and Chapman and Enskog(1-3). The heuristic (and correct) transport equations proposed near the turn of the century have been the subject of a considerable amount of scrutiny and nov, rigorous and systematic derivations of Boltzmann equations have been provided(4-11).
