Easy Layout

This paper addresses the user friendliness issue in a layout system. A simplified interface, called ez, has been developed in LTX2 to provide a push-button capability for simple chips and an easy layout flow control for complex chips. This flexibility in conjunction with parameterizable scripts not only increases designers' productivity but also makes the system easy to use.
