Efficient Generation of 480-fs Electrical Pulses on Transmission Lines by Photoconductive Switching in MOCVDCdTe.

Electrical pulses of only 480-fs duration have been generated by photoconductive switching in CdTe grown by UV-enhanced MOCVD. In addition to the extremely fast switching times, MOCVD-CdTe also exhibits a very high mobility of 180 cm sup 2 /V sec. The material can be grown on almost any substrate, making it ideal for integration into existing circuits and devices.
