Electrolytic precipitation of germanium dioxide from oxalate solution.

Selective complextion of germanium with oxalic acid to form the highly stable tris-oxalatogermanate complex is a basis for separation of germanium from other elements which form less stable oxalate complexes. A procedure is described to accomplish this separation and the controlling electrochemical factors are defined.
