Electron Spin Resonance in GaAs/AlGaAs Heterostructures: Comparison of Theory and Experiment

Using the technique of Stein et al sup 1 , we have measured the spin splitting of the 2D electron gas in high mobility GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures. In the same samples, we have also determined the depletion layer charge from a measurement of the intersubband energy splitting. The results permit a quantitative test, with no adjustable parameters, of the theory by Lommer et al sup 2 for the g-factor of GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures.
