Electronic mitigation for 10, 40 and 100G

In this paper we review the status of analog and digital electronic dispersion compensators and their application at 10 and 40 Gb/s data rate for compensation of several distortions and give an overview on the capability of EDE application towards 100 Gb/s data rate. Especially the low complexity schemes are reviewed using direct detection schemes in the receiver.
