Electronic Neural Networks: A Niche for Analog Computing

Recent models of brain function have suggested new ways of performing some computational tasks. Electronic neural networks that implement the models can act as associative memories, retrieving data by content rather than by address. They do this combining analog and digital processing. This task will introduce electronic neural networks, describe network chips now being built, and discuss potential applications.
