AT&T's System 75 and 85 digital PBXs are computer-controlled, information-management systems that use digital switching to process voice and data. Terminals, personal computers, and host computers- -as well as local-area networks of other data-only switches (e.g., Information Systems Network switches)--can be connected to the PBXs to communicate via their networking and switching facilities.
