Hexa-X-II by the numbers
An illustrated guide to how Hexa-X-II is shaping 6G

What is Hexa-X-II?
Hexa-X-II is the European 6G flagship initiative. Its goal was to design an end-to-end system enabling platform delivering novel capabilities for next generation networks.
Following up on the initial work of Hexa-X, the Hexa-X-II consortium laid the groundwork for 6G. The two European initiatives defined more than 100 technical enablers, made 280 standard contributions, filed 60 patents and developed five 3GPP-endorsed use-case families.
In 2025, Hexa-X-II not only drafted a global blueprint for 6G, it also established Europe as a global leader in future network innovation. Going beyond exploring new technologies, Hexa-X-II expanded the role of networking, placing value creation, sustainability, social responsibility and service innovation at the heart of 6G. The consortium officially concluded its work in June, but it will leave a lasting legacy.
