Take any exams from our Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC) Program. Exams are available online post-event through Pearson VUE from Sunday, June 8th to Saturday, June 14th. Candidates can take up to two written exams during this period.
Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC) Program
The Nokia Optical Network Certification (ONC) Program is an end-to-end learning program supporting the 1830 PSS, 1830 VWM, and NFM-T / WaveSuite NOC-based networks. The program is designed to equip participants with the hands-on skills, confidence, and demonstrated abilities needed in today’s advanced optical networks.
The ONC Program consists of four certifications:
- Nokia Certified Optical Network Professional – New to the ONC program? This is your best place to start and become certified by passing one exam!
- Nokia Certified Optical Network Services Expert
- Nokia Certified Optical Network Design Expert
- Nokia Certified Optical Network Architect

- Attend virtual instructor-led training
Exam registration
Exams are available online post-event through Pearson VUE from Sunday, June 8th to Saturday, June 14th.
A maximum of two exams can be taken online. Employees cannot take free certification exams; only Nokia customers and partners attending Wavelengths.
Note that Nokia incurs a charge if you don't attend your scheduled exam. If you are a no-show, Nokia may charge you for the exam, and your ability to take future exams may be restricted. We understand that sometimes things come up, so if you need to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges or restrictions. You will receive email reminders leading up to your exam.
How to register:
- Navigate to the Written Exam Registration Guide to create a Student Portal account or log in to your existing account.
- Once logged in, select “Exam Registration” from the menu on the left.
- Select your exam and complete the steps to Finalize Registration.
- You will be taken to the Registration in Progress page. If you do not see the blue button "Schedule with Pearson VUE", refresh the page.
- Click on the Schedule with Pearson button to be directed to the Pearson VUE website.
- Select the “Online at my home or office” option for where you would like to take your exam.
- Complete the “Prepare for your exam” steps.
- Once the exam preparation steps are successfully completed, select “Next”.
- Review the online exam policies and select “Agree”.
- Answer the registration questions and select “Next”.
- Select a date from June 8-14 and time to write the exam.
- OnVUE exams are offered 24/7, so please consider AM vs. PM when selecting a session in your time zone.
- Review cart and select “Proceed to Checkout”.

- Select “Next” and complete the booking.
- Review confirmation emails received to ensure all details are correct and understood.
