Integrated Free-Space Optics

Free-space optical components such as lenses, beamsplitters, etc., can be fabricated and integrated on single substrates by using planar fabrication techniques. This allows to build integrated free-space optical systems for a variety of applications without the need for costly mechanical alignment.
