UBBA Summit & Plugfest 2023

The Depot, Renaissance Hotel – 225 3rd Ave S - Minneapolis, MN, United States
The Third Annual Utility Broadband Alliance (UBBA) Summit and Plugfest will expand on the successes of the 2021 & 2022 events.
For the Plugfest, members from the UBBA Working Groups are developing challenging LTE use cases focused on requirements of critical utility applications. Building best practices for successfully deploying into the production grid communications is always the expected outcome.
The Summit will host a packed agenda full of insights, technology innovations, thought leadership and networking opportunities, it’s hard to know where to start.
Hear first-hand from the broadband industry decision-makers what connectivity will mean for the future of utilities and the communities they serve. Spearheading our speakers’ line-up are keynotes and c-level utility leaders to offer priceless insights for your business.
Join us at the 3rd annual UBBA Summit & Plugfest 2023 and stop by our booth #60 to:
- Join in Summit panel dialogs and activities to discuss your digital transformation initiatives and how to build a communications foundation that will support a smarter grid, net zero emissions and new business models both today and in the future.
- Check out our combined private LTE + IP/MPLS + Optical solutions using spectrum that includes a multi-layered approach, supporting an array of ruggedized industrial devices, applications and use cases.
- Explore new broadband network approaches – successful deployments combine fiber transport, fixed access and wireless access, to leverage $105B of US Federal government funding to help close the digital divide while enhancing grid operations.
- Experience Live Plugfest interoperability testing that approximate real utility conditions and the associated use case requirements utilities need to successfully deploy in their environments.
Please plan to attend this exciting session:
Digitalization & Private LTE Networks in Utilities Benchmark 2023 - Grid modernization and digitalization require that utilities have more visibility into their operations than ever before. With the evolution of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), intelligent sensor networks, and demand of heightened security measures, etc. utilities need to take more control over their communications networks. Zpryme has teamed up with the Utility Broadband Alliance (UBBA) to better understand the Private LTE landscape and how utilities are pursuing these networks to build the grid of the future. This session will reveal what we learned and further dive into the topics.
- Speakers: Ken Rabedeau (Nokia), Ashley Pearson (Aclara), and Ali Mohammed (NYPA)
- Moderator: Joyce Deuley (Zpryme)
