Automated Testing of Special Service Circuits
01 January 1990
Special Service operations are typically very labor-intensive. Unlike the POTS world, where mechanized testing and mechanized dispatch are widely depolyed, Special Service circuits are still largely individually tested by craftspeople and manually dispatched for repair. The uniqueness and special requirements of these circuits make testing difficult, and the amount of manual intervention required makes operations time-consuming and expensive. Any attempt to automate testing must take this variability into account.
