Behavioral Determinants of 24-hours Blood Pressure Patterns in Borderline Hypertension
Borderline hypertension is of interest to the clinician for two outstanding reasons: first, because it may represent and early stage in the evolution of essential hypertension, and hence provide clues as to its etiology; and second, because its prevalence in the general population is so high that most of the cardiovascular morbidity that can be ascribed to raised blood pressure occurs in people whose hypertension would be classified as borderline.
