New Nokia e-commerce platform expands potential for implementing Industry 4.0 use cases

The new Nokia Digital Automation Cloud Marketplace offers our customers and partners a dynamic site for ordering the equipment and applications they need to satisfy their growing and diverse Industry 4.0 use case needs. Speed and efficiency are essential to achieve the business goals of our large user base, both in terms of implementing new industrial processes and adding equipment to their existing operations technology (OT) infrastructure.

The marketplace is designed to allow the rapid onboarding of in-demand software and hardware. We are constantly expanding the number of products we offer on the site (both Nokia and third-party merchant products) to keep pace with our customer and partner demand, ensuring they achieve their goals in the fastest and most effective way.

At the time of writing this post, the e-commerce platform includes some 100 listings, both from Nokia and third-party merchants. These include Nokia Industrial dongles, ruggedized handhelds, customer premise equipment (CPE) and accessories as well as complementary third party (merchant) products including Wi-Fi access points from Askey and ruggedized tablets from Handheld Group. Customers can also subscribe to Nokia MX Industrial Edge ecosystem applications.

DAC Marketplace fosters our Industrial ecosystem built on a collaboration with third party merchants, which we announced earlier this year. We maintain full transparency on the site ensuring customers and partners can see all Nokia and third-party logos when browsing the catalog, reviewing their cart contents or visiting the ‘sold by’ section within the individual product listings.

Place an order in minutes

Because products offered on the site don’t require any specific configuration or network information to be collected during the quote or order stages, customers and partners can complete their order on the DAC Marketplace in minutes, and without requiring a specialist to review the cart contents. Our customers around the globe all have access to the DAC Marketplace web shop but, based on the delivery destination they provide, they will only be able to purchase those products with relevant certifications that can be shipped to their requested location.

DAC Marketplace is open now and ready for all our customers and partners to view an ever-expanding range of Nokia and merchant solutions. With product availability tied to customer location and an order process that takes just minutes, our customers can be sure that we are here to support solving their growing Industry 4.0 use case needs and achieve their unique goals.

Nokia has deployed mission-critical networks to more than 2,600 leading enterprise customers in the transportation, energy, large enterprise, manufacturing, webscale, and public sector segments worldwide. We have also extended our expertise to more than 760 private wireless customers worldwide. All of these will benefit from having easy access to equipment and applications needed in their infrastructure, for existing and new use cases.

Nokia customers and partners, welcome to visit Nokia Digital Automation Cloud Marketplace.
