Constraint-Based Distributed Planning as an Enabler for Self-Management

The optimal planning of reconfiguration operations is an essential function in building self-management solutions. In this context, we first outline the motivations and requirements through relevant operational concerns and use cases. Then, we present an adaptive and distributed approach, based on weighted automata calculus, to tackle constraint-based optimal planning problems. (C) 2010 Alcatel-Lucent.
