Dimensionality of Electro-Reflectance Peaks in Ordered Superlattices

The transitions in ordered Ge-Si superlattices are examined to determine their dimensionality. Because of the artificial ordering of the structure in the z-direction by the superlattice, it is proposed that transitions induced by the superlattice will have dimensionality of 1 while those induced by the bulk material will have dimensionality 2 or 3.
