Distributed Computing Performance Evaluation (20 June 1988)

In a large scale software development project, distributed computing features were used to create an environment in which the collection of machines functioned as a single service to the users. New methods of performance evaluation were used that take both the nature of distributed computing and the user community objectives into account.
