Dual-band Bandpass Double Ground Plane Coaxial Resonators and Filters

This contributions proposes a double ground plane coaxial resonator that allows to utilize the two ground planes. This configuration of compact high performance filters is a enabler for the modern RFDAC system architecture for multi-band systems. A number of designs is presented to demonstrate the operation principle and the performance characteristics of the proposed filters. A 2x4 pole filter has been designed, manufactured and tested with very good obtained results.
