With ever increasing operation speeds in digital systems the accuracy of electrical simulation in the design process becomes of greater importance. This memo describes the development of a new electrical network simulator which accurately simulates any tree-like (no closed loops), linear system with a periodic input of any shape and frequency. This simulator acts as a powerful tool for performance analysis of interconnection systems at any level (chip, package, board, backplane cabling and beyond). It eliminates the need for building prototype models and allows the system to be analyzed over a far greater speed range than can be experimentally measured.
