Evolution to Broadband ISDN on AT&T Switching Products (2-7) (NOT PUBLISHED)
An ISDN matures and becomes more widely available and utilized, the interest of the telecommunications community has become increasingly focused on the next stage of ISDN evolution- Broadband ISDN. (B-ISDN). This is not only a natural progression, but a direct result of market needs for higher and higher data rates for information exchange and the desire to carry all forms of Information Services on a single network. Market needs are evidenced in the rapid growth of higher speed LAN and MAN products for data, but the demand to serve voice, data, and video in a single integrated network is also increasing. B-ISDN will satisfy these needs with a standard, networked set of services and capabilities.
