We measure the surface resistance of high quality YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 superconducting films over a wide frequency range from 10GHz to 500 GHz using high-speed opto-electronic techniques. Using these data, we demonstrate that high-speed interconnects based on YBa sub 2 Cu sub 3 O sub 7 superconductors greatly benefit from the lower losses and particular lower dispersion for propagation distances of a few centimeters. Excellent agreement of our experimental data with Mattis-Bardeen theory is found over almost the entire frequency range.
