Silring mounting of silicon power rectifiers

This type of mounting is claimed to provide effectively for compact grouping of rectifier cells in bridge circuits without sacrificing cooling ability. An account is given of the construction, electrical characteristics, assembly and advantages of silring stacks. The latter include ease of assembly with any required internal circuit, leading to a high degree of standardization and easily controllable, low cost manufacturing.
