Some Fundamental Aspects of The Thin Film Organization and Device-Structure Fabrication of Polydiacetylenes

Thin oriented films of polydiacetylenes are obtainable by two established procedures: 1) Langmuir-Blodgett (L-B) method, 2) Shear growth technique. The first approach (L-B) provides a near-perfect orientation of the molecules in the direction perpendicular to the film-surface but does not maintain any order along the plane of the films.
