Spectrum Allocation with Flexible Frame Structure

This paper explores the potential of allocating spectrum resource under flexible frame structure for accommodating services with different types of requirements. Computational complexity is rigorously analyzed. A scalable algorithm is proposed based on searching in both primal space and dual space, which are shown to be complementary to each other in respect of approaching optimality. Numerical results show significant advantages of the flexible frame structure in both capacity enhancement and scheduling of mission critical services.
