This paper describes the surfing using wireless DSL. The high speed Internet access significantly increases the demand by the fixed operators to their digital subscriber line (DSL) services or by local communities to reduce the "digital divide". Wireless local area networks (WLAN) provide high speed Internet access that can be used as a low cost radio access solution in rural areas with low population densities. Alcatel integrated an UMTS-TDD solution in its 3G reality centers to provide end-to-end solutions across terminals. Finally 3G systems provides better support for packet data. The main objectives of wireless system evolution will be to provide sophisticated mobility features and enhanced QoS support. It appears that both new wireless systems and 3G systems provide same functionality and performance. Wireless systems can provide an alternative to DSL in locations where DSL cannot be deployed for geographic or economic reasons.
