Synchronizing Trigger Events in a Distributed Object-oriented Database
01 June 1992
Active database systems require facilities to specify triggers that are fired when composite events, specified in terms of other (primitive) events, occur. This specification requires the notion of a history, which is a sequence of all events that have been posted in a certain context (e.g., object) of the system. These events may be detected within the object or remotely at some other object.
