We compare the performance of a 10-Gb/s channel encoded with pseudo-random bit sequences (PRBS) and with interleaved bit sequences (IBS) typical of OTDM experiments. For linear transmission conditions IBS is found to yield slightly worse performances than PRBS of similar length.
