The History of the Horn Antenna and the Evolution of Human Communications

From its inception Bell Labs has been focused on improving communications technology across all available transmission media. The combination of technology developments and regulatory changes provided Bell Labs researchers with an ideal environment to perform the first recognized measurement of cosmic microwave background radiation supporting the Big Bang theory. We place this event within the context of the long history of innovation at Bell Labs.
