Weight functions, moments, the recursion formula, and explicit expressions are given for theta-analogues of the classical Jacobi polynomials P sub n sup a,N(x). The theta-analogues are obtained by replacing numbers R in the classical formulas (written a certain way) by sin Rtheta. The theta-analogues, called symmetric Jacobi-Theta polynomials, are special cases (q = e sup (i2theta)) of q-Racah polynomials which have been studied for -1
