Toll plant engineering
14 January 1933
The author discusses the development and application of a toll fundamental plan to the Rumanian toll network. Toll centering, or the provision of minimum facilities (i.e., the paths of communication) for a given service, is first considered and a tentative toll centering plan is given. The problems of minimum grade of facilities and the minimum plant investment for a given facility are next dealt with, and the paper concludes with a discussion of the Rumanian fundamental plan in relation to international service.
