ULTRA HIGH CAPACITY TRANSOCEANIC TRANSMISSION

Since the demonstration of 100Gb/s coherent for transoceanic systems in 2009, the capacity reported in record experiments continue to raise. Spectrum shaping, complex modulation format such as 16QAM and advanced soft decision FEC are used for several years in record experiment as well as in modern undersea systems. High capacity experiments combining large spectral efficiency and wide band amplification will be presented, as well as transponder optimization for 400Gb/s per wavelength undersea transmission.
