Unified Messaging Will Deliver the Message
01 January 1989
Businesses today have a variety of messaging services and products to choose from. For communications that don't require direct interaction, customers can use network- and premises-based electronic mail (email), electronic data interchange, telex and facsimile (fax) services, voice-mail services, or attendant-based call-coverage services. The equipment needed for these services ranges in complexity from basic telephones and asynchronous terminals to minicomputers that synthesize speech.
