User Interface Planning for Customer Control Systems
29 October 1987
This talk will be presented as part of a Division 551 Affirmative Action Program for women and minority students. The program involves a series of several colleges to expose women and minorities to systems engineering work at AT&T Bell Laboratories. This talk discusses the role of the user interface engineer in planning and developing new systems. It presents as an example of a project a prototype system for supplying traffic data to customers. The talk discusses the system in general terms and stresses the exploratory nature of the work; it does not present the system as a potential or actual service offering.
