VLSI Design for Transform Coding

This contribution consists of videotape demonstrations of full motion television image quality achievable after digital coding and compression down to 300 kilobits/second, followed by decompression and conversion back to analog NTSC color TV. These results were obtained by computer simulation using various video conference test images provided by Europe, Japan and the USA.
