This is a full day session dedicated to bringing together those in the Utility segment in APAC,  Utility operators, Partners and Industry experts to engage, learn and share the next generation communication needs to support the utility of the future.  We have a total of 6 presentations covering specific tech sessions, including two (2) engaging roundtable discussion with utility experts, and Utility presentations from those that are in the industry.

Develop your service provisioning skills on the 7750 SR through a series of lab exercises in this 3.5-hour expert-led workshop from the Nokia Service Routing Certification (SRC) Program. You’ll have the chance to configure various IP/MPLS service components at your own pace, including:

• Routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF)
• MPLS (RSVP-TE, LDP)
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 services (ePipe, VPLS, IES, VPRN)

This workshop is intended for network engineers, those preparing for the NRS II lab exam, or anyone with an IP/MPLS background who wants to put their knowledge into practice. Attendees must bring a laptop to participate.

The Nokia 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR) portfolio provides service adaption, aggregation and routing over an efficient, feature-rich Ethernet and IP/MPLS/Segment Routing Infrastructure.  7705 SAR routers are used in access and aggregation roles in mission critical networks because they are robust and support a wide range of interfaces, including TDM, SONET/SDH and serial data.  In this session, we will provide an update on the latest software development of 7705 SAR.

Network operators are implementing various solutions to provide broadband services to residential subscribers to meet their demands for higher speeds. Both wireline and wireless access technologies are being deployed. The implication with a multi-access approach is that it imposes different sets of requirements for residential gateways, network, subscriber service edge and back-end systems which results in increased network costs. This is extremely challenging for operators who are constantly looking for streamlined solutions and operational efficiency.  Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) is a fast-growing trend in the telecommunications industry to integrate fixed and mobile communications networks. 3GPP and Broadband Forum work together to standardise converged architecture and protocols. The result of the joint initiative is 5G Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) architecture, the blueprint for the future unified and access-agnostic network infrastructure and broadband service management.  However, the new architecture may cause many challenges for the operators for migrating from the current solutions to 5G FMC while supporting all legacy services and technologies in parallel.  The “5G Fixed Mobile Convergence – Evolution or Revolution” session will go over various deployment models, and pros and cons for different migration paths. This session will also outline Nokia’s 7750 Multi-Access Gateway (MAG) product roadmap that has an objective to make a migration to 5G FMC as seamless as possible for fixed-mobile operators.

Network slicing is becoming a reality. In this presentation we explain key elements of Nokia’s approach to slicing in the transport domain. We share our experiences with current operator deployments and discuss how slicing will evolve with the introduction of new technologies such as FlexAlgo and SRv6. We conclude with a detailed look at NTT’s experiences and plans.

Optimising transport cost, increasing average customer top line & improving customer service experience are often top of mind objectives for CSPs. In today's service-driven network builds, much key insights can be gained from what is already running in your network; customer traffic. While the idea is not new, to do this in a manner that scales operationally and at an incremental cost are always a challenge.  Deepfield analytics solution accurately describes network & subscriber traffic insights without the operational complexity nor the investment impact of dedicated network probes. It also works beautifully on multi-vendor network environment. Using Deepfield Cloud Genome intelligence feed together with over 100+ viewing dimensions including RADIUS & DNS data, we can meaningfully describe network trends down to a single subscriber. The insights can also be integrated into a data lake for broader analytics use cases such as QoE measurement, bespoke billing and others.

Today's DDoS attacks have evolved substantially and becoming more challenging to mitigate. Ever intensive attacks composed of multiple vectors, it is crucial for networks to rapidly detect & mitigate before it can overwhelm critical infrastructure. While mitigating DDoS attacks is the most fundamental aspect to it however, mitigating ONLY DDoS attacks is often an even bigger challenge.   In this presentation, we will demystify Deepfield Defender's network edge & centralised scrubbing mitigation architectures and its key premises. Using Deepfield Defender's vast Secure Genome threat intelligence feed & packet-level SPM telemetry, attacks can be mitigated quickly and most crucially, accurately all the while leveraging highly performant & scalable Nokia FP4 & FP5 SR OS platform.

The global energy sector is undergoing a seismic shift, driven by the sustainability and reliability imperatives.
