Come visit our booth #3426 at the McCormick Place in Chicago at Supercomputing 2026 . We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting gathering of the greatest minds in academia, government agencies, and the industry.

Research and Education Networks (RENs) play an integral role in fostering global collaboration among research institutions. In the fast-paced AI-driven era, it is critical to stay ahead of the game.

This is where Nokia comes in. With our high-performance data networks and advanced switching, IP routing, optical transport technologies, and data center fabric solutions, we are committed to providing research and education institutions with the networks they need to collaborate and innovate.

In Chicago, we will be demonstrating a wide variety of our solutions. Make sure to stop by our booth to see them in action:

The Fabric Behind the Tokens

Experience inference running live across Nokia’s data center fabric and see how the network connects directly to performance. A live dashboard brings the workload to life with metrics such as tokens per second and other MLPerf-based performance indicators, providing a real-time view into how the infrastructure supports demanding HPC workloads.

The demo also connects these real-world workload results to the evolution of Ethernet through UEC, showing how the network can help drive greater efficiency and performance for AI and HPC.

AI Backend Networking

Experience the next evolution of AI backend network operations. By integrating automated, versatile virtual labs with MCP-enabled AI agents and rich fabric telemetry, the demo goes beyond simply asking questions about the network. It shows how AI can participate directly in network operations — spinning up virtual lab environments on demand, turning network data into insight, intent into configuration, and detected issues into actionable, validated remediation — helping keep AI backend workloads running efficiently.

Optimized WAN for AI

See what it takes to connect HPC and AI data centers end to end without letting the network become the bottleneck. Explore Nokia’s IP routing and optical transport portfolios, from high-throughput, deep-buffered platforms with high-density 400GE and 800GE connectivity to scalable optical line systems and flexible coherent optics. Learn how an integrated IP and optical approach can deliver the capacity, reach, resiliency, and operational flexibility needed for demanding inter-site workloads and massive data movement.

Compare IP routing and optical transport platforms for extending high-performance connectivity beyond the data center. Then, get an up-close look at the 7250 IXR-X4, a compact 1RU router offering 32x 800GE ports and 25.6 Tb/s of full-duplex capacity.

Quantum Safe Networking

This demonstration illustrates the need for a new approach to securing data in-flight between data centers and operational sites. Ensuring trust in networks means more than simple data encryption. All network operators must take action to ensure they are protected against theft and intrusion by legitimate threats posed by quantum computers and AI. Visitors will learn Nokia's approach to deploying a quantum-safe network through multi-layer defense in depth tactics.

AI-powered network intelligence and DDoS protection

Ask why peering traffic spiked - and get an answer in plain language. See how the Deepfield AI assistant helps network teams investigate traffic anomalies, explore network data, and operate Deepfield Defender with fewer manual steps.

Learn how Deepfield Defender combines Secure Genome threat intelligence with existing router infrastructure for precise, real-time DDoS detection and mitigation—without adding appliances to the traffic path. For application-layer threats, Nokia DMS adds advanced scrubbing capabilities to help protect critical research, education, and HPC services.
