Mads Lauridsen earned an MSc in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and a PhD in Wireless Communications in 2015, both from Aalborg University. He is a Senior Staff Research Specialist in Nokia’s Technology Standards team, where he leads protocol-level work on non-terrestrial networks for 4G, 5G and 6G standards. He also contributes to developing effective power-saving solutions for user equipment and networks. Driven by curiosity, Mads enjoys tackling complex technical challenges. Outside work, he can often be found cycling through rural areas, where satellite connectivity and energy-saving technologies can prove especially useful.
