Biography
Myramuru Shanmukha Sai Nikhil is a semiconductor engineer focused on advanced computing architectures, AI acceleration, and next-generation hardware systems. He holds an M.Tech in VLSI System Design and has more than seven years of experience spanning ASIC development, System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture, microarchitecture design, RTL implementation, and silicon realization of complex digital systems.
His work is centered on the development of programmable compute engines and domain-specific hardware architectures for data-intensive and artificial intelligence workloads. He has contributed to the design and implementation of vector-processing subsystems, custom instruction-set processors (ASIPs), BF16 compute pipelines, and specialized hardware acceleration engines, with an emphasis on achieving optimal performance, power efficiency, scalability, and silicon utilization. His interests include hardware-software co-design, efficient dataflow architectures, vector and tensor computing, and the translation of algorithmic innovations into deployable silicon solutions.
In addition to compute acceleration, Nikhil has worked on secure RISC-V based platforms, cryptographic hardware, memory-controller architecture, high-speed interconnects, and complex SoC integration. His expertise spans the complete front-end ASIC flow, including architecture exploration, RTL development, verification, formal methods, CDC/RDC methodologies, synthesis, timing closure, low-power implementation, and design signoff.
At the intersection of research and engineering, he is particularly interested in AI-native hardware architectures, heterogeneous computing systems, hardware security, energy-efficient VLSI design, and future semiconductor technologies that enable intelligent communication and computing infrastructures. His work focuses on bridging architectural innovation and production-quality silicon, enabling scalable compute platforms for emerging AI, networking, and data-processing applications.
