Biography

Prajosh K P, a Research Engineer in Radio System Research at Nokia Bell Labs, Bangalore, specializes in neuromorphic computing for wireless communication, passive sensing, and beamforming. His primary research focuses on leveraging spiking neural networks (SNNs) for their potential to outperform traditional AI/ML techniques in specific applications, particularly due to their energy-efficient, sparse spike-based processing. He evaluates SNN performance through simulation and contributes to hardware development based on these analyses.

He is also actively engaged in passive sensing research, developing efficient algorithms for processing echoes from existing 5G signals to enable target detection without dedicated transmissions. His broader research interests include beamforming, precoder selection in TDD & FDD, and anomaly detection.

Prajosh holds a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where his research concentrated on compressive sensing-based fault diagnosis and mutual coupling analysis in phased array antennas. His doctoral research focused on sparsity-based fault identification in phased array antennas using field measurements, with findings published in IEEE journals and conferences. He earned his M.Tech in RF and Microwave Engineering from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram,  building a strong foundation in RF, antenna, and signal processing. He completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Calicut University.
